» We are a team of 80 highly skilled, expertly trained professionals who specialize in the performance of symphonic music.

» We come to Tampa Bay from all over the country and the world to perform as members of the Florida Orchestra. We are critically acclaimed as one of the nation’s finest ensembles.

» We are selected for our positions by a rigorous, nationally advertised audition process.

» Our members are graduates of the nation’s top conservatories and universities - 95% of us have bachelors degrees, 70% of us have masters degrees.

» In addition to performing three to seven concerts per week, we each spend up to 20 hours per week in full rehearsals and an additional 15-20 hours per week in individual practice and preparation of music.

» The average value of a musicians instrument(s) is $40,000. We spend an average of $1500 per year on supplies and maintenance for our instruments, and $750 per year on concert wardrobe.
